The environmental impact caused by fossil fuels and the use of energy in the transportation sector is the main concern of Brazilian citizens. According to a poll completed this month by Market Analysis, damage to the environment overcomes issues such as risk of failure and rising energy prices.

A survey conducted by Market Analysis shows that the majority of Brazilians is contrary to investments in new nuclear units. Only a minority of 16% believe that this type of energy is safe and supports the building of new plants.
